The Daddy July 21-23, 2007 Cheyenne, WY
|
It was THE DADDY alright! JX2 Productions went to Cheyenne during Frontier Days and The Daddy of’ ‘Em All pulled off a great production. When the final tally was
in 290 Ropers from 26 states & Canada competed for $207,000 in Cash and Prizes. JX2 offered a unique format providing ropers 6 different ropings to compete in for
the big money!
Each morning got kicked off with a World Series roping, and WOW do these ropings have an unbelievable payback! The incredible return to ropers is just the
beginning in the World Series. All competitors drawing a check get the opportunity to go to Las Vegas during the NFR to compete for over a million dollars. What a
Deal!!!!
Saturday roping was Awesome. The Truck Roping and Bonus Roping followed the World Series. Lots of good times were turned in on 2 head in the truck roping to
advance to the short round Sunday night. The Bonus Roping featured a new twist - The Priefert No Barrier Chute system created by Denny Gentry. This seemed to be
a huge success! Ropers had lots of fun and competed at a high level. Including the cash payout, buckles, jackets and 12 of the most beautifully tooled sting ray
cactus saddles, this roping had a whopping 130% payback! All you #4 and below ropers keep your eyes open. JX2 will be bringing one of these No Barrier Bonus
Ropings to you soon. It should be a must on your schedule!
The Truck Roping resumed on Sunday and WOW what a turn out! Seven hundred and fifty teams ran at the Awesome $94,000 worth of prizes that lay in store for
Sunday night! What a great fun day of roping. When the dust settled, Kremmling, Colorado’s own Chris Murphy took home the beautiful Lee Hagler 4 Door Dodge
Dually! Chris roped steady and solid all day long accumulating 180 points by placing 2nd, 10th and 15th. Beto Weber and Josh Pollitt won the main average and
secured enough points to win a big payday and 2 beautiful Harley Davidson Motorcycles from Maverick Motorsports. There were also 6 extremely happy Cactus
Saddle winners as well as cash, buckles, jackets and other prizes that were distributed through 20 places.
JX2 Productions also likes to include our higher number ropers in all of the fun and cash. That is why we offer our 7 head roping. This gives ropers all 7 steers with a
ridiculous 80% payback! This roping even paid $9,000 more that the $40,000 advertised! With a limited number of teams (120) and 44 ways to win a check the
$49,000 up for grabs was a ropers dream. Ropers going out of the average made for fun watching as some dramatic fast times were turned in for go rounds. The most
drama was created in the short round where Charlie Sadler and Justin Hammerich won the average with a time of 56.21 on 7 head splitting $12,000. This team
roped smooth all day! Those boys cashed in on some other checks and left the roping with a sack full of cash. Charlie walked away with $9,200 and Justin with
$7,100. JX2 would like to thank all the ropers and their families for attending this 1st of what will be an Annual event. Special thanks to Travis and Kitson for their
efforts at the arena! See You Next Year!!!
